The Test Automation ROI Calculator. This tool offers a detailed cost-benefit model to evaluate the economic effectiveness of software test automation. It includes the effects of reduced time to market and increased market share, as well as reduction of rework and outage costs (GPL, Excel.) Discussed in the white paper, What’s my Testing ROI?
The Reliability Demo Chart. This tool plots observed failures on a release-test-reject graph using parameters for risk. It is based on sequential sampling as adapted for SRE by John Musa (GPL, Excel.) This tool was presented at ISSRE 2010 — see the Tester’s Dashboard.
